This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how we handle cancellations, rescheduling, and refund requests for bookings made through https://gpappointment.ie. Our goal is to keep the process simple, transparent, and fair for all patients.

Eligibility for Refunds

Refunds apply only to consultation fees paid directly through our website.
Pharmacy charges, third-party service fees, or prescriptions already issued are non-refundable.

Cancellations by Patients

  • Free Cancellation: You may cancel or reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours before the scheduled time for a full refund.
  • Late Cancellation: If you cancel within 24 hours, a €10 administration fee may be deducted.
  • Missed Appointment / No Show: If you miss your appointment or fail to attend, the consultation fee is non-refundable.

Cancellations by GP Appointment

If we must cancel or reschedule due to a technical issue, doctor unavailability, or other unforeseen reason, you will be:

  • offered a new appointment at no additional cost, or
  • given a full refund, whichever you prefer.

Technical Failures

If a consultation cannot proceed because of verified platform or connection issues on our side, we will either:

  • reschedule the session at no charge, or
  • issue a full refund to your original payment method.

If the issue arises from the patient’s device or internet connection, the appointment will be considered a completed session and will not qualify for refund.

Refund Processing Time

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 7–14 business days. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or card provider.

Non-Refundable Items

  • Completed consultations
  • Prescriptions or treatment refills already issued
  • Pharmacy or dispensing charges
  • Administrative or third-party fees (e.g., payment gateway costs)

We aim to resolve all refund-related concerns within 5 working days.
Unfounded chargebacks may result in the temporary suspension of service access.

Emergency Situations

GP Appointment is not for medical emergencies. If you experience urgent symptoms or require immediate care, call 112 or 999 or attend your nearest Accident & Emergency (A&E).
